NYC Marathon
For the NYC Marathon, we built on lululemon’s overarching run identity, “Run To Your Rhythm,” creating a visual thread that connects every run event—from major marathons like Chicago and New York, to grassroots run clubs. Drawing inspiration from data visualizations of runners’ rhythms—heart rate, cadence, breath—we translated these into bold, graphic patterns.
The system balances lululemon’s core brand DNA—primary and neutral palettes, signature typefaces, and grid structures—with new pattern work that conveys density, precision, and focus. The result is a design language that mirrors the dedication of marathoners while ensuring lululemon’s presence is both authentic and unmistakable across the global run stage.
